resolutions

As I was teaching Sunday School today to a group of first and second graders, I realized why my resolutions have never worked! I don't think I have ever included God in the whole process of making myself better.

Our lesson today was about Jesus' baptism and the significance of baptism and being a child of God and what that entails. One activity we did was to think and pray about one thing that we want to improve about ourselves so we can serve God better.

My original resolution was to drink more water, something I felt I could attain. Today I began thinking how silly and insignificant that is to God. I can do and be so much more than well hydrated!! Good grief! So, now I'm thinking big and with God involved, I can do it! I'll keep you posted on what I resolve to improve this year.

Very perceptive! Focusing on Him would definitely make most of the insignificant resolutions we make much easier.

Also wanted to let you know that you've been tagged. Head over to Rude Manor and check it out. Let me know when you post!
