summer time

Summer is here for the Ringers! PK ended last week, was it just last week?! What will we do all summer?! Yesterday we went to the zoo, we were home by 2. I was exhausted and the kids went full speed until baths at 7:30. Ayyyiii! I feel so old! I am working on a schedule for summer. I work better with a plan of attack!! Slugger is playing t-ball, tennis and swimming lessons. Curls is still a bit too young for any formal classes. So she has lots of play time with Mommy and her friends on the street. Curls talks nonstop from the moment she wakes up til she hits the hay. I am thankful for her verbal abilities but sometimes it drives me insane! There is never a moment of silence around here. Naptime is becoming harder and harder, oh no!!! Is she about to give that up? Please, say it ain't so!!

OMG Amy - I LOVE the little tennis outfit on Ella! She has changed so much in the last few months! I feel your pain with the constant chatter. Abbey was the same way! The only way we could get a break was to play the quiet game. You know how much Abbey likes to win, so it was always good for a few minutes of silence! You might try it...

Tyler went through that (not wanting to nap) at two as well. I just stayed strong with it and made him stay in his bed/room at least an hour and a half. He got over that after several weeks and now he is a napping machine. He'll sleep over 3 hours if I don't wake him. Don't let it go. Also, I made Lindsey stay in her room 2 hours daily for quiet time until she was almost 6. She could read or play quietly with her stuffed animals, but she had to stay on her bed. Most of the time, she would fall asleep anyway.
Can't wait to see you!!
