My hair is driving me crazy!!! I started seeing a new lady that is close to my house that can cut and color and works on Mondays (which is when I have childcare once a month at church). She really encouraged me to start using my natural curl and go a shade lighter to color my grays. I have never been able to use my curl, which is more of a wave and not consistently the same amount of wave/curl all over. She thinks I should continue to grow it out so we can see the natural wave. Well, it has been about 12 weeks and I still can't make it work. Last time I went to her I swear she didn't even cut it and said, it really needs to grow out more to get the true feel of the wave going. Am I a sucker or is this for real?! It feels like a bushy mop. So, I had an appointment today with the girl I used to see. I liked her but she was a bit crazy and the cut took me forever to fix every morning. I was ready to chop it all off and she went home sick from work!!! AAAAGGGGHHH! My question is... will I ever be satisfied with my hair/looks?! I can't believe I am this old and don't know what to do with my hair. When it is short, I want it long, long, short...when it is straight I want it curly, curly, straight, etc. Wish I could just go to Sports Clips with the boys and get a buzz cut! I know that I should be happy I have hair to fret over and that I have options, curly or straight. It's the little things in life, isn't it?! ps for ms dendy... I know my posture looks horrid with that side shot, gotta get back to my neck exercises and get massages back in the budget! yikes!

I like the natural curl. It looks really good. You just have to decide whether you can get used to it. I also really like your hair in the pic of you on the sidebar where you're holding Curls. If you decide to go back to drying it, I like it that way the best.
I never like mine either, by the way. And mine has become really thin lately, which makes it even worse. The solution ... move to Colorado. I always love my hair in the mountains. If you will, I will! :)
I agree with Leaah - You'll probably love your hair in Las Vegas too since it's dry there so, maybe you should just move there in 2010 to fix your hair dilemma :-) We could be neighbors!
I like your hair in the pics. I think you are just not used to the curl. I think it looks nice and does not look like a bushy mop. With my hair, the longer it gets, the heavier it gets so the straighter/flatter it gets (if that's possible) so, wonder if you let your hair get longer it will weigh itself down a little and stretch the curl. Really, I think you look great in the pics but, if you don't mind spending time making it straight and you feel more comfortable that way, then go back.... not much help, I know....
Amy--It looks so cute long and curly! Just think on this--by the time you get it the length you want it, then summer will be over and it will be easier to handle come fall/"winter."
Have you been going to Classic Hair? I go to Terri and really like her. She fixed my hair after a major fall out with Ulta, post-baby....nightmare!! Her daughter Michelle (I think) also works there and she's great.
Good luck!!
OMG, Stephanie... I am going to Terrye and Michelle does my waxing! How do we not see each other more, good grief!!! Well, I went to Terrye last Thursday when I walked in the look on her face said it all. Ha! She said, "oh my! We need to do something different!" So... the color is back to my normal brown and it is shorter about 2 inches shorter. I told her I want to option to do it curly but will probably do it straight more often. My camera is totally full until I download some pics, so you'll have to wait for pics. Thank you for your opinions and honesty! I have been humbled over the last few days with what really matters and hair ain't it!! Don't let me get so shallow again, my friends. Love you all!
