Christmas

Merry Christmas! What a wonderful, whirlwind of a week! Here is a brief synopsis of the festivities!

Christmas Eve-Eve we had a candy cane flashlight hunt with hot chocolate and caroling with the neighborhood! Fun!

Christmas Eve was filled with lunch with the Keisters in KW, children's nativity service at church and dinner with great friends!! Slugger was a shepherd, Curls a cow aka, MOOOOO! They both did a fabulous job. Curls was the most relaxed cow ever, as she sprawled out on the stage. We had dinner at our neighbors' house, fun times, especially the Mom-son dance! I took a picture of each of them dreaming of sugar plums, so sweet!

Christmas morning was not the best for Slugger. The Leapster that Santa didn't put batteries in until Christmas Eve didn't work, oh boy! Then Santa forgot the roller skates that Slugger added to his list at the last minute. Cary and I creatively saved the day with statements such as, "Did you tell Santa your shoe size for the skates? Santa forgot to leave us the magic batteries for this Leapster. We will be sure to get them from the parent-help center tomorrow." It all worked out without scarring him too much. Santa fixed everything Saturday night with roller skates and a new Leapster! Ella loved ripping open packages and playing with her new dollhouse, purse, baby dolls and various Dora (Doe-Doe) things.
