first days of school

Slugger started school last week! "Gradual entry" that is... one hour the first day, two hours the second day, etc. He is ready to get in the full swing this week and so am I!! He has several friends in class from last year, which helps. He LOVES his teachers! Yea! I can't believe this is his last year of preschool! Can you see Curls trying to escape the stroller in the first pic?!
Cary got home safely from the US Open (notice the kids' t-shirts from Dad)! He had a great time with his buddy, David. His most exciting moment was catching Nadal's autographed tennis ball that he shot up into the stands!! It is sitting on our mantel! I secretly wonder what I could get for that ball on ebay! Just kidding, Cary!

Slugger got his cast off yesterday! It has healed really well! The orthopedic Dr told me to limit his activity for the next 3 weeks and NO FALLS on his right arm or we'll be back in a cast. HA! Have you seen my boy?! Just walking to the car involves 3 twists, a hop off any nearby rock and a practice swing of his imaginary bat. Limiting his activity should be interesting! Last night while he was sleeping, I prayed protection over his arm. That is about all I can do! :)

Curls is becoming quite adventuresome herself. She LOVES to draw with markers on anything, crayons will not do! Thank goodness for washable markers! She learned last week that if she pushes the breakfast room chair to the cabinet she can climb up there and do all sorts of fun things! Good grief!
That is all for now as naptime is about over and I still have 3 phone calls to make! Take care!
