Here comes my heater!

Note to self: When playing baseball with Slugger and he says, "this time I'm going to throw you my heater," DUCK! Holy smoke! He sent a ball flying at me so incredibly fast I couldn't even move. As it collided with my chest, I felt the most intense heat, I guess that is why they call it a "heater". It took my breath away! Thank God, I had convinced him we should play baseball with a tennis ball since Curls was with us in the front yard. Good Lord, if that had been his t-ball or real baseball I'd be done! I have the worst luck when it comes to baseballs! As you can see from the photo, Astros fever has spread on our street!

The rest of our day was pretty good. Slugger left early this morning for tennis lessons. I'm off to ice my chest, drink some wine and pop a few advil! The life of a mom, never a dull moment!

You should duck whenever any baseballs are in a mile radius of you. Oh my, I was so scared you were going to say it hit you in the head. Be careful!

I love that picture of all the boys in their Astros shirts. Grant is pretty good at baseball, you might have to get yourself some protective gear!
